Nation's leading e-prescribing company recognized for exceptional growth

May 17, 2011

Hard work is paying off for DrFirst with recognition as one of the fastest-moving private technology companies in the DC Metro Area. DrFirst, the nation’s leading e-prescribing company, was recently included in the 2011 Lead411 “Hottest Companies In D.C.” list, the only electronic prescribing company to win the award.

Winners must be privately held companies from the Software, Wireless, Hardware, Internet, or Media industries; located within the DC Area; and demonstrate strong financials and growth.

DrFirst has certainly exceeded these financial growth criteria for the past several years, thanks to its popular Rcopia™ e-prescribing and RcopiaMU™ Meaningful Use solutions, and industry-leading initiatives that are helping to bring thousands of doctors on board with electronic prescribing and participation with the ARRA HITECH “Meaningful Use of EHR” incentive program.

Awards season at DrFirst
The Lead411 Award is the latest in a series of accolades this year for DrFirst and DrFirst executives. The e-prescribing company was a recent recipient of the Surescripts “White Coat of Quality” award. Additionally, DrFirst was recognized as a top performing EMR vendor in the 2011 Black Book rankings. This month, DrFirst’s own Dr. Thomas Sullivan was given a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Essex South District Medical Society for his decades of contributions to the medical profession.

“2011 is an exciting year for DrFirst, as we continue to expand adoption of affordable electronic prescribing and Meaningful Use technology while launching groundbreaking offerings such as the nation’s first and only Electronic Prescribing for Controlled Substances solution that is available to all HIT vendors,” stated G. Cameron Deemer, President of DrFirst. “We appreciate the recognition for our hard work that this spot on the Lead411 ‘Hottest Companies in D.C.’ list indicates.”
