DrFirst Names Laizer Kornwasser as Chief Executive Officer

ARLINGTON, Va., July 22, 2025—Healthcare technology pioneer DrFirst announced today that Laizer Kornwasser, a transformative healthcare executive with a track record of driving rapid growth, has been named chief executive officer, effective July 21, 2025. G. Cameron Deemer, who has served as CEO since 2023 and president for 15 years, will continue to support the company’s strategic initiatives as vice chairman of the board of directors. 

This planned succession reinforces DrFirst’s commitment to innovation and growth, building on 25 years of healthcare technology leadership. Kornwasser brings over two decades of healthcare leadership experience across pharmacy, telemedicine, chronic care, pharmaceutical companies, and PBMs. Most recently, he served as president of enterprise growth and emerging markets at Teladoc Health. He previously held senior executive roles at CareCentrix and Medco Health. Kornwasser holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and has served as a professor at Yeshiva University’s Sy Syms School of Business.
