And the Survey Says…

When asked whether or not prescribers should be able to use e-prescribing technology for controlled substances, health IT professionals overwhelmingly answered, YES!
According to a Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society survey 93% percent of health IT professionals believe that clinicians should be able to use electronic prescribing technology to prescribe controlled substances. And as reported in iHealthBeat, one-third of survey respondents said that the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) recent interim final rule addressing e-prescribing for controlled substances would significantly increase the use of e-prescribing.
